Monano returns to camp after tribal council where Monica has just been blindsided.....
Colton tells Christina she's the next one to go and that nobody likes her. Later, Christina and Alicia argue and Alicia backs up Colton's sentiments, letting Christina know that nobody likes her and that she's going home in a couple of days.
The next morning, both tribes receive tree mail, preparing them for the upcoming reward challenge. The tree mail says that they will be playing a "backyard game." Members from the tribe contemplate what it could be - tag? Dodgeball? Hop Scotch?
When they arrive at the reward challenge, Jeff reveals that each tribe's members will take turns climbing up a stack of crates and throwing coconuts to try to break five targets. I don't know about the rest of you, but I certainly never played a game like this in my backyard!
Monano loses - again (shocker). Salani members get to enjoy as much ice cream, sundaes, and floats as they want for winning the challenge!
Christina knows she's going home after Monano loses the next immunity challenge, so she tries to convince Jonas and Leif to send Alicia home instead. She informs them that Alicia has an alliance with the other women on the Salani tribe, but Alicia overhears this conversation and tells the guys Christina is lying.
Later, Colton starts feeling very badly; he says he has a stomach ache, is very dehydrated, and has a headache. Although Colton has been mean to Christina, she does her best to take care of Colton. Colton believes it's a ploy to stay in the game longer, but she seemed genuinely concerned about him if you ask me...
The next day, Christina finds Colton curled up, crying, as he's in so much pain. She goes to get help for him and before long, Jeff arrives with the medical team to check Colton out. After being examined, the doctor determines Colton may have appendicitis and insists he be removed from the game. He begs Jeff to stay, but Jeff orders him off the island for medical treatment. Colton takes the immunity idol with him, which really makes Alicia angry as she's been talking strategy with him ever since they became part Monano.
Both tribes receive tree mail stating that they haven't won or lost, but they are still going to tribal council. Everyone wonders what this means? Will they still be voting someone off? Will they be voting someone off from each tribe?
At tribal council, it's revealed that Colton did, in fact, need emergency surgery to remove his appendix. A couple of people feel bad for him as they've also had their appendices taken out and empathize with the pain Colton's feeling right now.
Jeff reveals nobody's getting voted out. In fact, it's time to merge! There are six men and six women left in the game. It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out. Will the original alliances stick or will new ones be formed? I'm seeing more blindsides in the future. What do you think?
