I know this one is a couple of days late, but I still wanted to write it.
The girls return to the house to find AzMarie's "best photo" for the week. Some of the girls are angry that Kyle is still around as she had been questioning whether or not she wanted to remain in the competition, but she says they'll just have to get over it.
Laura shares that she feels blessed to even be here and she wishes the girls wouldn't get so upset over every little thing.
A Tyra Mail comes in on one of the Virgin Mobile phones. When Annaliese plugs it in to the TV, it's Jay Manuel He tells the girls he's calling from Toronto, Canada where he's getting ready to show the second collection for his line, Attitude by Jay Manuel. He invites all the girls to come to Toronto Fashion Week where they will all go on real casting calls to see how they fare in the real world.
The next morning, the models meet him on the top of the CN Tower. He tells the girls whoever can book the most number of fashion shows will not only win pieces from his clothing line, but she will be invited back to Canada for a special event. The girls have a chance to walk in eight different shows.
They meet with Kim Newport-Mimran from Pink Tartan. She has each girl walk before deciding whom she will cast. She comments to Ashely that she doesn't want so much movement in her walk; she wants the girls to be hangers for the clothes on the runway. She chooses to cast Kyle, Sophie, and Laura.
Next,t he girls meet with Hans Koechling. He's casting girls for six shows. He casts AzMarie, Eboni, Annaliese, Alisha, and Sophie. The girls meet with Mr. Jay last. After seeing the girls' runway walks, he chooses to book Laura, Sophie, AzMarie, and Kyle.
The number of fashion shows each girl books is as follows at the end of the casting:
Kyle: 2
Laura: 2
Eboni: 4
Sophie: 4
AzMarie: 3
Alisha: 2
Annaliese: 2
Catherine: 0
Ashley: 0
Seymone: 0
Because both Eboni and Sophie book four shows each, Mr. Jay says the winner will be determined by who does the best at the fashion shows that night.
Sophie, Kyle, and Laura do a practice run for the Pink Tartan show. Unfortunately, Kim Newport-Mimran thinks Laura and Kyle need more practice and removes both models from the show. She feels each girl has potential, but she says they lack the confidence she wanted to see from them.
Nobod falls while walking in the fashion shows that night, which is always a good thing!
When the girls return to their hotel, they have Tyra Mail. It says, "Sticky and sweet and oh so delicious. Fierce and love, Tyra" One girl wonders if they will be doing a candy photo shoot tomorrow.
The next morning, the girls meet Mr. Jay, who tells them that because Eboni and Sophie did so well in the fashion shows, they will both receive pieces from his clothing line and an all-expenses paid trip back to Canada for the Calgary Stampede, the largest rodeo in North America.
He tells the girls about their photo shoot, saying their photographer will be Miguel Jacob, who has shot for Mr. Jay on Canada's Next Top Model (where Mr. Jay is the host). The girls will be wearing leaf bikinis and be covered in organic maple syrup.
Laura breaks down on the set, telling us she didn't have the proper time she needed to mourn her firend's death. She says she's been letting it out week-by-week and that she plans to use her sadness to help her in her photo shoot today.
The girls receive Tyra Mail when they return home, telling them it's time for judging. At judging, Tyra introduces the judges as usual - Nigel Barker and Kelly Cutrone. This week the guest judge is Beverly Johnson.
Alisha - Kelly says she sees a model in Alisha, but she's not quite there yet; she needs to model more in her pictures.
Sophie - Tyra comments that it's very impressive to book half of your castings. Beverly loves how Sophie's shot is high-fashion even though she's covered in syrup.
Catherine - Tyra loves that she's smizing so much in this photo. Nigel thinks this is the best shot of Catherine so far in the competition.
Ashley - Kelly tells her that she loves Ashley's personality and she loves seeing her at judging each week, but that personality isn't enough. Nigel notices that Ashley looks afraid both in person and in her photo this week.
Annaliese - Nigel loves the animalistic pose she's doing in the picture. Mr. Jay also commented about how much he loved it during the photo shoot the previous day.
Laura - Kelly inquires about Laura's inspiration for her photo this week. Laura shares about her friend who had died in the motorcycle accident before she came on the show. Kelly appreciates her sharing and being vulnerable. Tyra inquires about what happened with her and Kyle to be taken out of the Pink Tartan fashion show and Laura explains that Kim Newport-Mimran felt they needed more practice.
Kyle - Kelly says that she sees a model in Kyle. Beverly loves Kyle's photo.
AzMarie - Beverly and Kelly agree that she looks hot in her photo this week.
Seymone - Nigel says hers is the best beauty shot this week. Beverly comments that Seymone seems to know her body and her angles well, knowing where to place her hands, etc.
Eboni - Eboni is congratulated on booking half of her fashion shows as well. Tyra says Eboni is finally getting it - she is being somewhat sexy in this photo, but there is still an innocence about it.
The judges deliberate.
Eboni gets best photo this week. AzMarie, Sophie, Seymone, Laura, Kyle, Alisha, and Annaliese are called after. Catherine and Ashley are left in the bottom two. Both girls didn't book any fashion shows. Catherine is called because she has a stronger photo. Honestly, this surprised me as the judges usually focus more on personality when it comes down to the bottom two in situations like this. Ashley is sent home.
