Big Brother 14 September 5, 2012 Recap: Dan's in Control

Okay, now that I'm all moved, there shouldn't be any more long delays or missing posts. :)

As you might recall from Sunday's episode of Big Brother 14, Ian nominated Frank and Jenn for eviction this week.  They both seem to think it's based on personal reasons, but it's not.  Everyone's wanted Frank out for a really long time.  Jenn is just a pawn, but she somehow thinks she's a threat and thus this week's target.

Frank thinks he'll be fine this week because he's in an alliance with Dan and Danielle.  He also thinks he has a Final Two deal with Dan.  Apparently he doesn't remember that Dan doesn't keep his word in the Big Brother game.  Furthermore, because Dan's key was pulled last, Frank thinks that if he wins the Power of Veto and takes himself off the block, Dan might go up as a replacement nominee.  So Frank is actually considering throwing the Power of Veto competition.

Power of Veto Competition

Tonight's Power of Veto competition featured Otev, the absent-minded alien.  I always love watching the Otev veto competitions; they're always quite amusing.

Houseguests must figure out the answer to Otev's riddle and bring him an ear of corn that has the correct answer on it.  The last person up the slope is eliminated from each round.

Danielle, Dan, and Joe were picked to play in the Power of Veto competition along with Ian, Jenn, and Frank.

Danielle is out first.  She goes to give Shane a hug, but he doesn't want one because she's so sticky.

Ian's out second.  He's ashamed that he's eliminated from the competition before Joe is.

Joe's out third.  He's upset because he thought he would do better in this competition.  He knows that if someone is taken off the block, he's going up as a replacement nominee.

Jenn is eliminated next.  She wants Dan to win because she thinks he might use the Veto on her since she saved him last week.

The final two in the competition are Dan and Frank.  Dan wants Frank to throw it, but it doesn't appear that Frank is going to.  Dan ends up winning the veto!

After the Power of Veto competition, Dan goes to talk to Ian and makes a Final Two deal with him.  He says the Renegade is back and this makes Ian very happy.  Later in the diary room, Dan is pleased with himself for setting up three Final Two deals - one with Ian, Frank, and Danielle.

Dan somehow convinces Ian it's a good idea to use the Power of Veto on Jenn this week.  Ian tells Dan he'll pretend to be mad at him when he does it.

While Frank wants Dan to use the veto on him, he doesn't want to expose their alliance, so he agrees it's best to use the veto on Jenn to pay her back for last week.  Dan also tells Jenn he's going to use the veto on her to pay her back for last week.  He wants to gain Jenn's trust.

Power of Veto Ceremony

At the Power of Veto Ceremony, Dan uses the veto on Jenn and tells everyone it's to pay back his "det" to her.  Ian acts like he's mad about Dan's decision.  He names Joe as the replacement nominee.

Tomorrow night Joe or Frank will be evicted.  It will also be another double eviction night, so the episode should be pretty exciting.
