Big Brother 14 August 26, 2012 Recap

Tonight's episode begins with a little recap of Thursday's double eviction episode.  We get to see some of the stuff we didn't see on Thursday.  For instance, after Boogie leaves the house, we see Frank get incredibly angry with Ian.  After Ian wins HoH, we get to see everyone campaign their position with him before he has to make nominations.  Brittney, Shane, and Dan all want Ian to put Frank up on the block right away, but Ian thinks it would be better to put up Shane and Joe, then backdoor Frank after the Power of Veto ceremony.

Of course we know what happens.  Ian didn't go with his own idea, so Frank gets to pull himself off the block and Ashley ends up going home.

Throughout the entire live episode, we find out that Frank was yelling at everyone in the house, especially Ian.  He calls Ian a "terrible person," but later says that Ian was too easily influenced by Dan.

Brittney tries to calm Frank down, telling him Ian already feels terrible enough.  He asks him not to yell at Ian because Ian just can't take it right now.

Before the HoH competition, Frank talks with Brittney and Shane.  He wants to work with them in order to vote Dan out of the game.  If I were them, I'd just make the deal and go back on it later.  They do end up accepting the deal in case Frank wins the HoH competition.

Head of Household Competition

In the Head of Household competition, the houseguests must face off against one another to see who can get their ball in a designated hole on a giant board the first.  The houseguests must use a pulley system to move their ball around the board.

Frank is ranked the lowest, so he must face off with every houseguest in order to ultimately win the HoH.  It seems a little unfair because Frank gets more and more practice with the board and pulley system every time he faces off while all the other houseguests haven't had nearly as much time to get used to it as he has.

Frank ultimately wins the title of Head of Household for the week.

Brittney assures Frank that she's on his side.  She tells Frank that voting Dan out this week is actually good for her game, too.  Frank tells us that he trusts Brittney the most out of anyone in the house in the diary room.

Pandora's Box

Pandora's Box is back.  Frank sees a bunch of money signs and it's revealed that if he opens Pandora's Box, he will leave richer than when he came into the house.  He decides to open it.  Frank is allowed to choose three money cubes with various amounts of money in each one.  He can win up to $10,000.  He wins approximately $3,000.

After he chooses his money cubes, he's locked in Pandora's Box for one hour while a second veto is unleashed.  The houseguests have to find 50 cents in order to play the crane game in the arcade room where they can try to get the veto ball.  They have to find 50 cents among the balls that are dropped into the backyard.  Dan gets rather ugly in trying to find all the balls he can with money in them.

He even lies and says he has the veto the first time he attempts the crane game so that nobody else will continue trying to get it.

Ian is the person who eventually gets the veto ball.

After Ian wins the veto ball, Frank talks to him about how likely he would be to use the veto on Dan if Frank puts Dan up on the block.  Ian is annoyed at Frank's insistence that he make a quick decision.  Frank's annoyed with Ian because he doesn't want to make a decision without thinking about it first.

Frank pressures Ian into not using the veto ball on Dan by telling him that he'll put Brittney up in his pace if Ian does.

Nominations

Frank nominates Dan and Danielle for eviction this week.  In his nomination speech, Frank says Dan's been coming after him for weeks now.  He tells Danielle that she's a product of unfortunate circumstances.

Any predictions on who will win the Power of Veto?  Will Ian keep his word to Frank and not use the veto ball on Dan?  Please share your thoughts with me in the comments section.
